In my mind, they are one and the same.
In practice it's often turned out like that. But it doesn't seem to have been the case orginally; homosexuality is not mentioned once in the Bible.
Intererestingly, while homosexual sex is mentioned a handful of times, it's not singled out for special treatment; even Leviticus (which contains some very... er... "unusual"... laws that probably made perfect sense for a Nomadic society, but not an urbanised one. There's a lot of stuff about mildew) where it's part of a long list of proscribed sexual activities.
Even the recommend punishment (death) isn't especially draconian for Leviticus; having sex with the wife of your neighbour is also apparently punishable by death.
Bearing all that in mind (and the fact that there's a bit of a debate over how relavent the Old Testament should be for Christians anyway, certainly the other laws in Leviticus (IMO the worst written and dullest part of the Bible) aren't followed by Christians) there's been far, far too much attention on homosexuality by certain churches.
Fair point, but on what authority do they damn homosexuals to hell? It's not in the Bible (which is usually very clear about what things get you sent down their) and I don't think that preachers have the authority to declare what is and isn't a hell-worthy offense.
