Well during Charlie, the terrorists had a target and a goal, to kill the staff of Charlie Hebdo. That made it slightly less likely they were going to go after other random people.

In this case, the terrorists are just trying to kill as many people as possible. So it makes sense that rallies now would be more under threat.

People seem more upset about the fact that the news isn't covering Lebanon than they do about the fact that ISIS killed 40 people in Lebanon.

Part of the reason the news isn't an endless stream of ISIS attacks, which it easily could be, is because the media doesn't want to appear "Islamophobic".

Guaranteed, the same people complaining now about lack of coverage would be screaming "Islamophobic" and "warmongering" if the media actually did cover Lebanon and all the other ISIS atrocities daily.

As of right now, the media only covers ISIS when it's forced to, like in France.

We've raised a generation of college students to automatically blame White people for everything. When Brown people kill innocent people for no good reason, it causes their brains to overheat.

The immigrant crisis was already threatening Schengen. This attack has only made it worse.

Luckily what the states think doesn't matter as federal law/Supreme Court precedent state that the President has full authority over refugee policy.

True enough. Still, it will be very interesting if a majority of states go on record as being against this policy, and the president (acting more like a king every day) decides to simply thumb his nose at the American people and go about doing what he feels is best.

I don't know if I agree with Obama's decision but that's a nature of leadership. That's why we live in a representative democracy, not a direct democracy.
