Time for the US to start arming the Chechens and other Russian rebels.

Disgusting new low, even for you.

Sure, after all, arming the Mujaheddins worked out splendidly in long run.

This is American foreign policy in a nutshell: when you fail, just do the exact same thing in a different country.
It works as long as we don't have direct interest.

Funny how "defending Western civilization" means supporting fascism. Western civilization helped kill fascism in 1945. Putin's Russia stands against the ideals of the Enlightenment (which is what I assume Western civilization means, although the people who use that phrase probably mean White Christian civilization).

Say what you want about Western hypocrisy, but Putinist Russia happily disregards freedom of the press, democracy, transparency, and political opposition. There is a reason that sh**thole of a government funds the far-right. This is like the Chilean people thinking Kissinger is a defender of Enlightenment ideals even though he helped topple Chile's democracy in 1973.

Let's not pretend Putin isn't a war criminal. Review of wars wherein Russia has invaded another country:

Chechnya - 50,000 to 250,000 dead
Georgia - ~400 dead, 190,000 displaced
Ukraine - 10,000 dead, 1.4 million displaced
Syria - 312,000 to 470,000 dead at the hands of his friend Assad, 5 million refugees

Not counting the airline he shot down, the people he's had poisoned, etc.

You can scream 'Iraq!' 'Iraq!' 'Iraq!' all day long but the fact is, Bush isn't president anymore. Putin is.
Let's not pretend Obama isn't a war criminal. Review of wars wherein America has invaded another country:

Iraq: 1,533,000 dead, 3.5-5 million displaced
Afghanistan: 220,000 dead (could be many more), millions displaced.
Pakistan: 61,000 dead, 1.4 million displaced.
Yemen: 1,724 dead, 10.3 Million in "Dire Need" of assistance or they will die.
Libya: 15,000 dead, 1.5 Million Displaced.

Do you know the effective way of hitting Putin? Sanctions.

Of course some would say something like "meh, sanctions, how weak, why would he care?", but Russia is vulnerable. My favorite example: they soon won't have a working electronics for many of their ICBMs. They don't produce one. Why bother if you could buy from someone else? But it ended after Crimea and subsequent sanctions. Also, sanctions targeting oligarchs would be most dangerous to Putin.

-China doesn't produce electronics? And no, sanctions are a vastly overrated and highly ineffective means of "hitting Putin".

As far as I remember China doesn't produce this. Kind of like the U.S. not producing own drugs for executions.

Targeting the oligarchs who are having a lot of money located in the west would be painful, since Putin must maintain their loyalty.

Well, I guess there are also some good people among your acquaintances, though none, surely, ever appear when you look into a mirror.

I really hope that this was some type of irony or other joke.

You seem to be less conerned with some other non-ironic comments around here.

Old song. You happen to object to a particular moderatorial decision of mine?
