He should really have more than 14%.

How did Ross Perot end up with so many votes? In some of the early polls in the 1992 cycle, Perot was actually winning, even though most people didn't even know who he was yet.

Gosh, I hope so.

It would be the greatest thing in the world if Kentucky was his best state!

This article says RFK is actually winning among voters under 30:

I think, on a per-capita-basis, this has to be the craziest hurdle for an independent candidate anywhere.

NC has only 7 million registered voters... it's signatures from more than 1% of them.

The courts need to step in and fix this.

RFK Jr. isn't really doctrinaire libertarian.

It's sort of like how I've been forced to vote Libertarian when there's a lack of a better option, but I'm not in any way a doctrinaire libertarian.

Going to Trump's right on covid will certainly draw more otherwise-Republican voters than otherwise-Democratic ones.

There's a very broad consensus now that the lockdowns, mask mandates, and school closures were a failure.

DNC filed lawsuit against RFK Jr campaign,  claiming they’re breaking laws by using a super-PAC to get signatures. The DNC says RFk Jr and his campaign have to gather signatures, not a super-PAC

RfK Jr responds that the DNC is just looking for anything to get the attention away from the brutal special counsel report. I’m inclined to believe RFK jr. And the superpac says they are working independently from RFK Jr and his campaign too

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13067177/rfk-jr-dnc-accused-violating-election-laws-bidens-disastrous-day.html

The DNC is full of roo gas.

If they truly cared about superpacs, they would have tried to overturn Citizens United.

The DNC is just trying to crush opposition.

Wait, so did RFK Jr just choose a literal random woman as his running mate, or is she well known in circles that I don't follow?

Of all the people on RFK Jr.'s short list, Shanahan may be one of the better choices.

RFK Jr has 6.7 million followers across Insta, Tiktok, Twitter, FB, Youtube, Threads, and Rumble. His State of the Union got 12.1 million views and 1.7 likes .

He has a following: the notion that he will finish 1-2% is becoming fantasy

https://www.axios.com/2024/03/28/rfk-jr-tik-tok-social-media-young-voters?

Almost everyone I know is voting for him.

I think third party candidates could have a very strong antitrust case against the Commission on Presidential Debates.

I stopped supporting MoveOn when they went full Branch Covidian.

They also sold my e-mail address to a right-wing mailing list.

MoveOn is one of the biggest bunch of grifters in America.

Bandit, is there any real reason why you don't support the Green Party or like any other leftist third party instead?

I actually have voted for Greens before. I might do so again, but I think RFK might be a little bit better on the COVID stuff.

But I won't support the Socialist Equality Party, since the only reason they seem to exist is to parrot CIA talking points about COVID. They accuse actual leftists of being "right-wing" because they won't go full Branch Covidian.

Republican policies / ideas

- Limit trade deals to stop low-wage countries from getting American jobs
- Reduce foreign aid (e.g. Ukraine), end proxy wars, and reduce American  military presence abroad

...

- Ensure Covid-era lockdowns never happen again

...

- Promote trade schools over 4-year college

These actually used to be Democratic ideas 35 years ago. Or at least the anti-lockdown stance would have been if COVID was around then.

The guy claiming this is a Biden patronage hack. This is no different than if Jen Psaki logged on and claimed the same thing.

Not only that, but a lot of the anti-establishment vote in 1992 went to the Democrats by default. The Republicans were the establishment back then.

That seems strange now, because the Democrats have squandered so much political capital since then, but they were better back then. They had some problematic officials, but nothing like now.
