The Trump stories of the last few days made my wary if correcting his record is useful to anyone.

As we know, voters who priorized economic issues didn't vote Trump in the first place, not even in the Rust Belt.

Looking at the major stories of the last few days.....

1) Carrier: Started as a "saving jobs" narrative, ended up as a "tax money for CEOs" scheme, which not only exaggerated the number of "saved" jobs but "forgot" the fact that there really are hundreds of Carrier jobs going to Mexico. And as we know now, Carrier plans to use the saved money to improve automatization and make those "saved" jobs go away.

2) Softbank: Saudi-Arabian Money, which needed to be spent in the first place, is used in the US - which has nothing to do with Trump at all - and makes a big merger between a company owned by the Softbank CEO and T-Mobile...which the O administration blocked before .... more probable.

3) Boeing: The president-elect goes full activist, makes up numbers....possible either cause the Boeing CEO criticized his trade policies or cause Fox News misstated a WAPO article about outsourcing of Boeing jobs .....and makes half a billion dollars "disappear" on the stock market with a single, exaggerated tweet. Cherry on top: Boeing is now sponsoring the inauguration events with one million dollars.

All those stories have been mis-used by Trump, who has either overplayed his own role or got into the way of business decisions which were not his playing field to start with.

My question right now.....

Since i think events like those three examples above are going to happen for 4 to 8 years now on a weekly basis......would it in fact hurt Trump if not a single job or a single tax dollar would be saved through his decisions, as long he continues playing a populist activist?

Normally one would argue, the question of the economy decides Donald's fate, but since the economy is running and wasn't the major issue of the campaign or for Trump's voters.....i wonder if there is any visible and transparent metric which could block Trump's creation of his own alternative reality.

Thoughts?

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
