"Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,”

Too little, too late, I believe.

Whatever. It's probably the closest thing we'll get.

The nutcases over at thedonald.win insist that EITHER this means that he is talking about a peaceful transition to a second Trump administration (since he doesn't mention Biden at all) OR that this isn't coming from Trump at all.

He already said there will be an orderly transfer of power, since the Trump protesters didn't damage anything or burn down Capital Hill or destroy paintings, it appears it was a political stunt. Hawley is finished as a Prez candidate. Cruz probably is gonna be the R nominee

He will go to his grave claiming he won this election.

Just like his bankruptcies were Bush's fault. Just like all the judges he gets dealing with his many schemes are crooked or biased. Just like every other time, it is never his fault.

The latter one is possibly true.

If so, that would mean that Trump is currently being "run" by saner minds and maybe being isolated from Rudy etc. Let's hope and pray it stays that way.

I mean, it would seem to signal that he's not going to board himself up in the Oval Office on Jan. 20th and dare the Secret Service to remove him by force.

And also that, post-Jan. 20th, his line will be that the presidency was stolen from him.  Claiming that it was stolen from him is distinct from the line that he's not taking but might have, which would be that he is still president and will continue to do things like sign executive orders, appoint Cabinet officials, etc.
