I'm amazed it got that far, considering virtually every non-elected official in this state was appointed by Perry, due to long he's been in office and the fact that our state tends to function somewhat like a Central Asian ex-Soviet oil-igarchy as a result.

Makes me want to watch Borat again..

I don't believe this one will be particularly harmful. The belief that the following prosecutor should resign after her arrest for drunk driving does not seem controversial.



But the belief that that gives one the right to literally extort a state agency is going to be more controversial.

So exercising a constitutionally-delegated power (the veto) is an "abuse of power"?

"When the governor does something...then...uh...its not illegal".  This is just like the bridge scandal. When someone tells you off, you punish them like some sort of feudal lord.
