TPTTAA asked the chairs of both parties during the last minutes of the election what they were up to. While we won't reveal the exact answer, it was clear to us that the JCP had the better organization and ground game. Given this, and, your two recent close fought victories, how does the JCP respond to the accusation that it effectively "owns" Atlasia?

Given that the latest election produced a tie, that clearly is not true.  A change of one vote would have produced a different result.

Do you think the competitive atmosphere is one of the things driving the current success of the JCP? That it "needs" to fight all out to win, and so it is doing so?

Further Question: Would the JCP be more willing to talk if I addressed this to the RPP? Is there a reason for the silence from all but one of the members of the JCP?

I'll leave this open for a few more hours... I hope the JCP is willing to be open like the RPP and will answer questions.

If anything, surely the last election results disprove any nonsense about the JCP "owning" Atlasia, no? They were both effectively (and in one case, literally) ties.

And I'm back.

Why do you think the JCP has had so much staying power?

Funny that you should ask... Tongue

Seriously, though, the JCP has always been the rock that the Atlasian left can come back to, when other experiments fail.  We are an institution with a strong foundation that is unshakeable.

Do you think that this long lasting stability is part of the reason that the JCP is disliked in some quarters?

Perhaps, there may be some jealousy.  Although I do think the RPP has shown similar staying power.  NCYankee has shown remarkable leadership after the departure of DWTL, and has transformed it from the dying heap that it once was, into the strong and respected party that it is today.

Some of the founders of the SPA quit "because of bgwah" but there are fewer people who've quit the RPP "because of Yankee". Why do you suppose that is?

You would have to ask them.  (I don't even know who you mean.))

Do you believe that the JCP is more disliked by those not in the JCP; than the RPP is disliked by those not in the RPP?

No, I don't.  Do you?

Why do you think the JCP has had so much staying power?

It has reliably fought for the goals of the left through an incremental, realistic, and pragmatic lens.

Do you think that given the current law books for Atlasia, that the JCP has succeeded in building a left-wing, but moderate, country?
