At 5pm, the networks will be given access to the early exit poll numbers.  So some time between about 5:10 and 5:30pm or so, we’ll start getting news reports from them about things like what percentage of the voters are Independents, what the top issues on voters’ minds are, etc.  But they’ll withhold the topline numbers (who is winning the exit poll) until all the polls have closed in a given state.

Overview of all results: http://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president

Two notes:

1) Remember that in Illinois, most of the delegates are directly elected (with the delegate's presidential preference listed on the ballot).  You can track the results for the election of the delegates here.

2) Would you believe that when you go to the CNMI Republican Party Facebook page, they also give you this link:

http://www.cnmigop.org

with no explanation given?  You might think that that's the website for the CNMI Republican Party, but you'd be wrong.  It's Canadian Golf Digest.

As long as there are no hurricanes, the weather is always good there, right?  Tongue

Projected high temps:

Quite a large temperature difference between northern and southern Illinois.  I wonder if that’ll lead to more high energy voters downstate.

Which of the states will have exit polls?

I believe all five states will, but none for Northern Marianas.

Btw, as I noted earlier, while the preferred name for today is "Ides of March Tuesday", the preferred alternate name is "Goodbye Rubio Tuesday".

Trump wins the Northern Marianas overwhelmingly.  Announcement in this video:

https://www.periscope.tv/w/1DXxynYYyeVKM

471 votes cast

Trump 343 votes (73%)
Cruz 113 votes (24%)
everyone else 15 votes (3%)

This forum proves faster than the major American media sources.  None of them have stories on the Northern Mariana results yet, but I managed to find that news off of Twitter.  Even the CNMI Republican Party Facebook page doesn't have it up yet.

Followup on this: All five states are listed as having exit polls on Edison Research's page:

http://www.edisonresearch.com/2016-exit-poll-coverage/

But as of now it looks like they have no plans for exit polls in future states.  Unclear if we'll get one in Arizona next week.

Polls are now open in at least the majority of precincts in all five states voting today.  Here's a pic of people standing in line somewhere in Ohio that I got off of Twitter:

This guy claims that of the 15 Northern Mariana votes that didn't go to Trump or Cruz, 10 were for Kasich and 5 were for Rubio.

I had some typos in my earlier post on the #s (I was trying to transcribe what the guy was saying in the video), but here are the exact results from Northern Marianas:

Can't blame her, I voted for Cruz in Oklahoma, although I could have gone either way between him and Trump.

Didn't you previously endorse Paul, Christie, and Rubio?
