Good to see pro Israel Democrats put pressure on Biden to continue to support Israel.

That'll be fine for them and their political interests, but Biden is in the right for finally setting a boundary.

He's the one getting the brunt of the fallout in every direction as it pertains to the conflict.

There should be no boundary in terms of what areas in Gaza should or should not invade. Israel should invade and occupy all of Gaza and its good moderates are starting to put political pressure on Biden too. Now many dem donors are responding in kind too and criticizing Biden:

Ackman did not support Trump in 2020 so its just not Trump donors putting pressure

Coons, Rosen and the rest of them are wrong.

Look, I've been very clear that I find large parts of the "pro-Palestine" faction to be *troubling* to say the least. However, that doesn't mean that Israel gets to do whatever they want.

That is completely unacceptable. If Israel wants to act with reckless abandon, then there must be conditions on aid being sent to them.

Coons, Rosen, and the rest of the "Israel can do anything it wants without constraints" caucus are wrong.

Good on Biden to FINALLY set conditions for Israel aid.

All Israel had to do was come up with a plan to invade Raffah that would not result in mass civilian casualties. Biden said that repeatedly for months. The Israeli government has not even tried to do so.

Imagining thinking what Israel is doing in Gaza is doing anything other then strengthening Hamas and pushing more people into their arms.

Israel has every right to fight back against Hamas but again. That’s not what they’re trying to do, they’re just trying to inflict pain and destroy and it’s going to cause more violence against them later on.

Pretty stark contrast with how the Republicans roll over for whatever obscene thing Trump spews out at any given moment.

Unfortunately, Biden just looks weak here. His party doesn't respect him on this issue and both ends of the spectrum have no problem saying it.

Yeah, caring about the lives of innocent civilians always projects weakness.

Sometimes, I truely wonder if these people would sell their mothers and their children just for the sake of Israel.

If this was any other country on Earth, like, let's say Bolivia, I'll bet you a chorus of voices would've already have been calling for their impeachment and resignation for prioritizing the needs of a foreign country, consequences be damned, over our own. But funnily enough, this standard is conveniently never applied to the so-called "greatest ally."

I remember reading in 2020 that Chris Coons was a potential Biden pick for SoS...now I'm thinking, thank God Biden went with somebody else.

We need to get this Coons motherf***er out of the caucus now. If he wants to act like a Republican he can sit with them.

Of course, this will never happen because he is buddies with Biden.

https://www.axios.com/2024/05/10/rafah-israel-palestine-democrats-arms-sale

Now 26 house democrats have come out to criticize this decision by Biden

Quote
Driving the news: In a letter to Biden on Friday, 26 Democrats led by Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) wrote that they are "deeply concerned about the message the Administration is sending to Hamas and other Iranian-backed terrorist proxies" with the pauses.
