Would you prefer to live in this society?
This society is a happy and prosperous one. Most people are free to do whatever they want in society - jobs are plentiful, and kids from the poorest backgrounds are socially mobile. The elderly and disabled have great social care, new medical treatments are found, university education is affordable, and the average age of ownership of a first home is 24. No ordinary restrictions on civil rights exist, including LGBT rights. There is good access to healthcare which is free at the point of use. Gun laws are liberal however there are enough controls to prevent mass shootings - there has not been one for 5 years now. The border is secure but immigration is steady, and there is no widespread discrimination against immigrants or widespread racism and homophobia. The environmental forecasts are optimistic - the efforts made in this society have triggered climate action across the world, and pollution is low. The arts and heritage flourish, and this nation is the world's top tourist destination.
However, in return, all members of this society would have to swear loyalty to Karl Rove. This is a process that starts at a young age: schools teach the writings and speeches of Karl Rove, and all citizens carry a book of his quotes and are given pictures of him. At 8am and 6pm every day, people pause to sing an anthem to Karl Rove. Free and fair undisputed elections for the executive and legislative branches are held, however Karl Rove may veto any policy (he has not chosen to do so yet). A social credit system operates where citizens may only enjoy certain activities with a Karl Rove pass, and those that do not show loyalty are forcibly ostracised from society, even parents who fail to do so being turned in by their own children. 99% of people swear loyalty to Karl Rove and enjoy an otherwise happy, prosperous life with no other restrictions on how they live.
