Abercrombie spokesman on Hawaii News Now saying we'll have to wait until the next printout.  Yeah, right.

If Ige's lead holds, I don't think Hanabusa should really lose that much ground.

And AOS calls the governor's race for Ige, who is leading Abercrombie 67-32 with 38% of the predicted turnout reporting!

Wow, that was quick.

We don't even have a county-by-county breakdown - or any election day results, just early and absentee votes.  There's probably not enough data to call anything.  Though I think it's safe to say we can stick a fork in Abercrombie.

"We're not down 18 points, it's a very close race" - Abercrombie spokesman, earlier tonight

Ugh. Thankfully Takai seems to be leading in the only primary where ideology actually matters.

Okay, first AP calls of the night - Djou wins the HI-01 GOP primary 97-3 over Levene, Aiona wins the republican governor primary 97-1 over Gregory, and Cavasso wins the Republican Senate Primary 72-13 over Roco! No suprises there.

The disadvantage of Hawaii's reporting system is the AP can't tell us what % of the precincts are in or even which precincts are in, so we just have to work off the statewide margins and some guesswork to know how races are going to go.

Schatz spokesman on Hawaii News Now is claiming that Hanbusa's voters are early voters and his voters are more likely to vote on election day.  That, of course, remains to be seen.

It is very likely that ALL of the vote is mail-in absentee and walk-in early vote and none of the vote is election day precinct.  So 0% reporting would be accurate.  AOSHQDD somehow got a county-by-county breakdown.  I haven't seen it on the AP's site.

I don't think any of us were expecting Ige to lead by this much this early on.

The AP is entering some county-level returns now, per Politico:

Honolulu (1.3% in): Hanabusa 49.2-49.1
Kuwai (12.5% in): Hanabusa 54-44

So far, we don't have any county level returns for the other two counties or the governor's race, which remains uncalled on the AP.

Still crappy.

Gov: Incumbent progressive loses badly
HI-01: Good that the total DINO didn't get it
HI-02: Conservadem renominated easily
Senator: Progressive down 2 points
