I thought she ran a good campaign and was she essentially tied in the polls? She lost by a lot.

2014 was too early for TX + Red Wave/2010 repeat = Safe R.

TX hasn't elected female politicians for Gov, or Senate or Prez, Valdez, and HEGAR blanched out as well, but TX elects them to Congressial districts. Ann Richards was the last female from TX to be elected to Senator, or Gov
