I think Walker is the only candidate who wasn't at the kiddie table to drop out.

When will it start? Can they all really make it another month?

Paul is a likely candidate, especially if he fails to make the main debate.

Paul's supporters expect him to stay in as long as possible, as his particular views are not expressed by any of the other GOP contenders.

Kasich will be the first to go.  His campaign is beyond disappointing.

If they put him there, he will either drop out or not participate
Exactly. He'll probably just drop out. God knows he's regretting his campaign and is itching for an excuse to seek reelection.

Carson and Paul are the only two I could see potentially not making it to Iowa, and I wouldn't bet on either withdrawing before Iowa.

Based on recent events, probably Carson.

Carson appears to be in freefall, but I could also see Fiorina dropping.

At this point I woulf expect the next casualty to be Ben Carson or even Mike Huckabee.

For the "second tier'
As early as the last week in January
As late as right after New Hamphire

This is the order I predict from most to least likely to drop out:
Fiorina, Bush, Kasich, Paul, Carson, Christie
Just a random guess, based on the unpredictability of this election

The others are becoming less and less important
third tier undercards:
Gilmore, Huckabee, Santorum

I think Paul could be the next one to go. If he gets demoted to the kiddie table debate next time, he may drop out to avoid the embarrassment of being in that debate and an anticipated poor performance in Iowa. Paul is the only one I see potentially dropping out before Iowa. Carson most likely will still be in the main debate next time, so he'll probably hold on until Iowa, but will drop out after a poor showing in there. Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, and John Kasich will probably stay in till NH but could drop out after failing to win / place well there.
