It seems like Mary Glassman would win the Democratic nomination in Connecticut's Fifth District due to her name recognition and a strong backing by Democratic pols. What happened?

Jahana Hayes, if I recall correctly, received a lot of outside endorsements, plus she doesn't have a political background. I'm not surprised Glassman lost.

Why are you not surprised?

Mary Glassman has a long political background. When I first heard of the name Jahana Hayes, I was thinking "Who?".
