So the President re-appointed the right-wing PM, even though the leftist parties have agreed to form a government and have a majority in Parliament...

Where do we go from here? Do the leftist parties vote no confidence in the government and force the President to appoint Costas as PM, or do we see new elections?

Silva has caved and appointed Costa as PM. Of course the headline is perpetuating the ridiculous meme that the right totally won this election and the left is stealing it because they're undemocratic meanies and definitely not because first place means jack diddly squat since the right didn't win a majority and the left-wing parties combined got more votes and have more seats and acted accordingly, but alas, the left has claimed it's rightful place as the Portuguese government, and that's what matters.
