In my view, of course, I have a highly positive view of some denominations of Christianity and a negative view of others, but, just to address a point raised in this thread, I'm not entirely sure as to why some people think that Christianity (as opposed to, say, certain denominations of Christianity) is so doctrinally strict. Indeed, I argue that 'Christianity' (taking it as a whole, including all denominations and views) is actually fairly flexible and adaptable doctrinally, and that this is one of the reasons as to why it has managed to become so widespread and (until recently at least in some places) successful as a religion.
