Though they understand nothing about issues, they believe to be still in 2008 and so run for the 1860 presidential election. However, since McCain comes from a state that didn't exist, he can not run for the presidency. Obama surprisingly wins the nomination of the Republican Party against Lincoln. However, during the democratic Convention, a bombing happens and every prominent political figure dies. The democrats are so desperate that the nominate Lincoln by unanimity. However, we later discover that Adolf Hitler had never killed himself : instead, he has also been teleported in 1860. Also, he shots Fillmore and tricks for his birth certificate in order to run for election. Since democrats and republicans seem totally ridiculous after what happened, Hitler ( whose political positions are totally unknown ) creates a Great Coalition regrouping all the moderates. However, we rapidly discover that Louis XIV had also been teleported here and he decides to run as a Whig because he wears a wig.
