ITV said earlier that folks in Washington going to reevaluate their European priorities, could see a future of closer relations with Berlin, Paris, and Brussels while distancing itself from London. RIP special relationship.

Good thing Obama is out in a couple months.  Whoever wins in November, we're going to have a President who actually respects the special relationship.  I expect a free trade deal with the UK to be worked out post haste.

You mean president Trump?

Trump is against free trade deals of any kind, and why would Clinton prefer England to Germany?

Not when it comes to a true friend like independent United Kingdom.

250K margin, 100K of which happened in the last few min. I think we are seeing the end.

No, we are seeing the new beginning.

Pound is collapsing. Great time to visit the UK!

A friend of mine, who by chance has the British citizenship, has arrived in London earlier today. Smiley

This looks weirdly like a French EU referendum doesn't it? Very strong centre-periphery patterns, invisible partisan ones.

And that's what the US presidential election will end up looking like.

Not yet, but it will give a boost to eurosceptic partys. In my country there are already calls for a referendum. I saw a poll in France that a majority wants to exit. Im so proud the people of Britain choose democracy and souvereignity above the scaremongering.

Your country has some particularly right wing parties that are very strong. I expect your referendum to succeed too. Plus, Belgium to break up.

Mexican peso is collapsing, BTW.

That's gonna make it even harder to pay for the wall.

LOL!

SCOTLAND VOTES REMAIN
More than 50% of voters have voted for Remain

Congrats, hopefully the next vote is for independence.
Want to make Scotland a third world country? because that's how you make Scotland a third world country

The Scots always vote their wallets. No chance they split.

Ok, finished.

I think we can declare at this point.

This will, of course, mostly, be a disaster for England (and whoever choses to stay with it). For the rest of us, it is just a minor think: perhaps, one month less of peace before the WW3. Still, it would have been a nice month.

Fearmonger, as always.

Congratulations to all those who are no doubt delighted: Putin shills, PRC bots, trots, fascists, Nazis, reprobates, people who plan on being dead in the next year, anti-Semites, peddlers of Violence, and those who despise Britain and wish to see the Perfidious Albion fail

Thank you!

Yeah, 4 years of continued austerity, a stagnant economy at best, continued cuts to social services, and a weakened currency are really something to rejoice about as long as you get to say f_ck you to immigrants.

I wonder who the Leave voters will blame in several years when things don't get much better.

Give me freedom, or give me death!

I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

Congrats England.. you've done it!

Congrats England, you killed the EU.

Corrected.

A small amount of economic pain is a small price to pay for the freedom of a nation.  I guess you would have been arguing for King George III in 1776.

Britain will basically be subject to the rules of the EU, as no small part of their economy is tied to the EU, and just took its own voice away with regards to writing those rules.

That's the complete opposite of freedom. That's stupidity in the name of feelings.

You are on the wrong side of history, Clarko. After tonight, the EU will no longer exist.

Just a not to the people celebrating this win for Leave.  The pound has now fallen to a 31 year low on this news, and it continues to go down.  Stock exchanges are all falling at least 3 percent, much more in Europe.  Real world consequences right there.

Temporary panic. Unjustified.

Vladimir Putin smiles at what useful idiots like you have done.

Fearmongering hasn't worked before the referendum and most certainly will not work after the fact.

15 000 Euros lands you a flat in Thessaloniki,

You want that to be the price of a flat in Westminster?

Why not? At least everybody will be able to afford it.

It is 15,000 euro. Every German will be able to afford it.

EURO will be abolished by then.

Yeah, and when the League of Nations failed, everyone lived happily thereafter.

It was a failed project, which needed to be scrapped so that something better could be built in its stead.

And the world enjoyed the scrapping process immensely.

It's the end result that counts.
