Why should the voters or the media treat WikiLeaks as a credible source?

I think we have reached a point of the campaign where people believe what they want to believe.

A lot of the Trump supporters have been doing this since day one, turning a blind eye to the many instances of his bad conduct.

How can one story from a dubious source be any more effective at changing public opinion?
