How about you give up your benefits, McCain?

Okay I think it is safe to say that if the debate continues like this it is over for McCain.

Right. You'd never admit McCain won if the rest of the world agreed he did. It may be over for him, but wait till this debate is over before you start claiming your guy won.

The American people made a decision to elect Gore. That didn't get done.

I was expecting (and hoping) for better from McCain. While Obama seems to be connecting, both in words and body language, McCain appears to being going too negative, and _keeps_ going on about the earmark thing. Sometimes I think earmarks are all the man cares about. 0_o

Besides, whats wrong with Planetariums? Couldn't he come up with a better example?

Ugh. Earmarks again. What the hell was that about an overhead projector? That didn't even make sense.

John McCain needs to stop insulting the voters.

Oh, there's the "spending freeze" again.  So that wasn't a trial balloon...

"We're not rifle shots, we're Americans?"  WTF?

I am going to say it is over for McCain, that spending freeze line is going to kill him and get tons of scrutiny.

I like this debate much better than the last McCain-Obama debate. This time they (especially Obama) seem more relaxed and are answering the questions better, with less technical numbery stuff.

Obama really looks relaxed.

If you start, "I think the American people are hungry for," that is a bad time to lose your place and look down and go silent.

Iraq war. Bailout, taxcuts, health care spending all much greater than $18B a year.

So far I think Obama is connecting much better than McCain. And I can't help that image is so much more influential in these townhall debates.

Wow, McCain's Herbert Hoover/Tax Cut thing went over pretty poorly with the CNN dial, although it picked up near the end.

McCain is stumbling through his fearmongering.

um.  didn't HW raise taxes in tough economic times?

Reagan raised taxes, too. And what about the Clinton tax hike?

McCain is not in favor of his own tax cuts for the wealthy?
