I wonder why Naso thinks he could repeal the Marijuana Legalization Act just by becoming president.

The ACLC is not partisan.  The ratings were based on votes, not on partisan affiliation.

Considering ow the government handled hurricane relief two years ago, I doubt the government would run health care any better.

The Atlasian government handled Katrina better than the real-life U.S. government did.

Imagine if that individual taxpayer's money would have otherwise been used to purchase a life-saving operation.

Oh yeah, the 2 cents of someone's taxes towards saving someone from using an HIV-infected needle will really help them pay for that heart bypass surgery.

No one should have to "purchase" a life-saving operation, in any event.

Not to mention the fact that the caucus's founder, Ebowed, was the only senator to vote for going to war against America.[/tt]

This is so intellectually dishonest.

Sam Spade introduced the amendment to include an invasion, to which Sens. Spade, DWDL, Brandon H, Phil, and PBrunsel voted in favor.  Sens. Ebowed, Rob, Lewis, and Al against.

I, Senator Ebowed, introduced an amendment to remove a declaration of war from the resolution.  I was the only vote in favor.  [Other liberals were absent]  Sens. Spade, EarlAW, Brandon H, and DWDL voted Nay.

I was also one of only two votes against cloture on the final version which included an invasion.

My vote in favor of the final, mishandled version, as I have already explained, was entirely symbollic.

Well, they should have the option to purchase a life-sacing operation if they want to insure high-quality.

They have that option at the expense of other people being denied access to essential medical care on the basis of economic status.

Phasing out incandescant light bulbs is not "extreme."  I'm not "banning light bulbs."  I'm hoping to phase out an energy inefficient form of them to replace them with newer, environmentally-friendly bulbs.

Other countries have taken this step.  It is not "extreme."

Senator-elect Afleitch will likely be a swing vote in a heavily liberal 21th Senate.

LOL!  To this newspaper, a bill to ban dogfighting would be considered "extreme socialist" and "heavily leftist communist leaning"

I think it's a little early to say that the JCP will have two holds. While I certainly hope that's the case (as both a member of the party and a strong supporter of Marokai and Fritz), and do think that we can do it, you really never know with these elections. I'd put it at 1 DA, 1 RPP, 1 JCP, 2 toss-ups, myself.

Trying to spin down expectations so you can celebrate it as a huge victory when your party holds both seats? Wink

Nonsense.  Though I would put my own estimate at 1 DA, 1 RPP, 3 toss-up.

Di I sense an inverse correlation between how smart people think they are and how smart they actually are?

I don't know; do you?  Please let us know!

This talk of the Northeast seat changing hands is quite amusing.

You know what, I'm getting sick of these accusations. Find something to back it up, or shut the frick up.

Not only does the Regional News from 2004 have access to all of the latest scientific information, they can also apparently predict the future. Wink
