More cops.  More cops with guns.  More cops in high-crime neighborhoods.  More cops in schools.  Harsher sentences for small-time gang-bangers and drug peddlers.
You with pandemic control orders: My liberty! You can’t infringe on our rights!!! Police State! The cost!
You with cops in minority neighborhoods: Yay! Law and order!

At least be consistent.

This seems like it will accomplish the opposite

You think less cops in high crime neighborhoods is a good idea, it's not. The same neighborhoods with the cops vs civilian problems are the same people that call for the cops to come back.

I was talking more about the More cops, more guns argument
In high crime areas, they must be armed in the event of a worst case scenario. The problem isn’t the guns, it’s the lack of training for many cops that needs to change.
