But it's also possible that Trump's years of "Making America Great Again" will resonate with voters.  If, indeed, economic prosperity continues, and folks see things like real improvements underway in infrastructure, Trump may be transformed from a controversial lightning rod to a consensus leader, about whom it will be said, "I told you so!".

I'm not saying this is impossible, but how do you envision this would happen? To be honest, I thought right after the election that Trump's own surprise at being elected would compel him to be more gracious and seek consensus, but I think he's been even more divisive once in office than he was while on the campaign trail, which a lot of people thought was impossible. I just think this is very unlikely to occur.
