My favorite Republican President is Ronald Reagan.
The only Democrat President I have a favorable opinion of is Franklin Pierce.
I liked William Henry Harrison a lot as a kid but have no basis for a favorite Whig President.

I would be interested in reading why you, or anyone else for that matter, has a favorable opinion of Franklin Pierce.

Martin Van Buren was a Democrat when he was elected.

He was never a Whig, as far as I know. He was a Free Soiler (make up your own joke here).
