Federalist
George Washington. John Adams could have been great, but he was overborne by his temperment.

Democratic-Republican
I would actually believe it would be John Quincy Adams. He had lofty ideals of creating and cultivating the arts and education of the country. He may not be a popular choice, but I believe him to have been good.

Whig
This is a tough one, considering the Whig's most eminent man, Henry Clay, was always doomed to second place finishes. He or Webster were the best of the party, and they took neither. Shame. Of the group, I have to say Taylor was the least damaging.

Democrat
This is an obvious choice. Franklin Roosevelt is the standard by which all modern President's are measured. You may not like it, but it's true.

Republican
I can't pick. There were two great Republicans in Lincoln and TR, I'll call it a tie.
