I can't believe I'm going to defend Romney...
But...
It's his money he can do whatever the hell he wants with it. I'm tired of the schtick that Liberals use to try and shame the wealthy.
He earned every penny of his fortune, and has the right to use it in anyway that pleases him.
I don't think anyone is questioning Romney's right to spend his money however he wants, but rather his intelligence or lack thereof. Like it or not, a renovated $12 million dollar mansion where the cars have their own elevator is a wonderful piece of publicity for the Obama campaign and anyone else who wants to cast Romney as an out-of-touch elitist.
I question his 'right' - it isn't a right but rather a privilege: a power over others who must toil to create his wealth, his elevators, his cars, etc.
And he certainly didn't 'earn' it, he got it be enslaving others. The capitalist system is one of slavery, and people of Romney's class should be guillotined.
Only half right. He made most of his money by firing people.
