Schakowsky and Bustos both got behind Rotering this week, which is really interesting. Schakowsky is a major white-urban-liberal voice and Bustos is the heir-apparent to the "downstate Democrat" voice that is currently Dick Durbin.

I wonder why they did this? Raoul got Cook County Dem nod and I was expecting him to battle it out with Ruiz. Perhaps because Rotering is a woman, but then why wouldn't they have gone with Fairley - especially Schakowsky, as Fairley is big on police accountability? Maybe because of Fairley's ties to Rahm?
