wow Obama just kicked some butt on that fine = zero thing....McCain looked stymied

agreed.  whether or not you agree with any of what anyone is saying, it was clear that McCain didn't really study the prep materials detailing his opponent's legislative proposal.

Sorry, I just have some moral qualms with rape.  Shouldn't let that get the better of me, eh?

In response to your question, the bailout was essential unless you wanted our economy to come to a complete halt, in which everyone, not just the wealthy, would be hit hard. Small businesses wouldn't function, much less any other large corporation. Of course, I'm sure you'd want this country to collapse just so your guy will cruise to victory.

Actually, I'm on record as supporting the bailout.  Try again.

Then what is your argument? We agree on this issue. And how does it have anything to do with the shenanigans ACORN is currently involved in? I didn't want the bailout, but I also didn't want our economy to go down the tubes. It was not the time to sit there and stubbornly adhere to principle. Yes, the companies ed up and we need to make sure that doesn't happen again, which your party turned a deaf ear to just as much as mine did, perhaps even more.

Trying to say that my opposition to the fraud ACORN is engaging in is silly because I supported the bailout really doesn't make any sense at all.

McCain is too redundant.  That said, he is doing a fine job.  Elizabeth Dole is probably a little bit relieved.

John McCain: "Americans don't want single-payer." Wrong again John.

LOL @ one over simplified poll!

You are classic, Lief.
It's important because it is over-simplified. Americans now want healthcare to be socialized. Not universal or more affordable; SOCIALIZED. It's inspiring stuff.

And Obama should use the "lie" word. Now.

LOL

That polls suggests that the public is really uninformed about this issue. But thanks for more memories, Lief.

I missed the beginning of the debate. Where did this Joe the Plumber crap start?

It started with the first question asking about the candidates tax plans...

Well, Obama owned McCain on health care. McCain just doesn't get the noisome details. One thing McCain should have done, was not cut off the tax treatment of employer plans, but just offer tax credits for those not covered. That would have deprived Obama of a talking point, because the idea that employees would get higher tax home pay, if the employer nixed their employer plans just won't sell, even if correct economically.

It may be that health care is the Brutus knife for McCain. I think he failed to realize just how dangerous an issue it was to him.

Can we please give "Joe Plumber" the correct name.

Which would be "Joe Owner of a Very Successful Plumbing Company Who Already Makes More Money Than 95% of the Country".

It'd be funny if the debate ended with McCain screaming "Joooooooooooooeeee!". You know, like Captain Kirk in Star Trek 2 screaming "Kkkhaaaaaaaannnnnn!".

Do we know how much he makes? I'm pretty sick of hearing about some rich plumber. A lot of plumbers are rip offs.

Here comes the "Equal Pay for Equal Work" PC BS....how the f-ck do you determine what constitutes "equal work"? Let's dismantle the free market and instill mandatory quotas just to fulfill some self-righteous leftist's dream of what a utopian workplace should look like.

McCain's gone "laundry list" again - putting out talking points and hoping one sticks.

Eggs
Milk
Cheese
Taxes....

Obama has already had the kitchen sink thrown at him repeatedly by the media, and Clinton and McCain campaigns. It's certainly hurt him, but it's not going to stop him.
