Well, she'll call him out on his flip flop, but I like Harold and hope he kicks her ass!

I'm not a big fan of Ford, but I don't really care either way who wins the primary.

Too conservative?  Wishy-washy?  Flip floppy?

I dunno really...I imagine he would vote as a typical NY DEM in the Senate if he by some miracle actually won, but I tend to think of him as a blue dog.

Still, he might as well give Gillibrand a run for her money.

I find it amusing how a Republican only needs to be pro-choice and support gay marriage (or even civil unions) in order to be widely labeled a "moderate".

That was big pre-2008, but I doubt anyone would call Rudy Giuliani a moderate anymore.

What I find most amusing about this is that Harold Ford has effectively gone from supporting a constitutional ban on gay marriage to supporting gay marriage in less than four years. Now it's one thing to go from very lukewarm opposition to support like most recent converts but in this case...

It would be pretty cool to see him get elected. Who was the last person to represent two different states in Congress?

Harold Ford, former Democratic U.S. congressman in Tennessee, will not beat in the primary Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York). It's not that he's an outsider; he's too much on the inside (Wall Street). Not a good year for that!
