Apparently they're giving up on finding a mainstream host and are going "dark web" accessible only by Tor...which is basically just an invitation to post stuff that'll get some people a visit from the FBI.

FWIW I've heard that it's basically been leaked by some within Reddit that the only reason some of its most vile subreddits are still up (such as probably the worst of the worst: r/Physical_Removal) is because the FBI has asked Reddit not to take them down and is asking for info on various posters on them.

That's probably a good thing given that it limits their audience to just the freaks on the dark web and keeps them from influencing impressionable angry young men.

I'm sure the FBI will still be able to monitor them on the dark web.

I'm pretty sure the FBI knows how to use Tor, since that's how the vast majority of child pornography on the Internet gets spread.

Now that's some delightful news!

Though perhaps not too shocking after one of the mods was banned after posting something that amounted to death threats against the Charlottesville PD, so an FBI visit might be in order as well.

But not too shocking it would go down after effectively becoming a subreddit dedicated to praising the Charlottesville car attack and mocking the victim.

Once Cloudflare terminated them it didn't really matter what Russia did, that took down the site and a site like Daily Stormer could never survive without a service like Cloudflare since it'd be the #1 target for DoS attacks.

Going dark web just means that just about no one will read them except the FBI and assuming anonymity they'll probably start posting content that will end up with the FBI paying them a visit.
