I assume this question is specifically about US citizens. I mean they def exist on Tik-Tok. I think they fall into several categories (with some overlap):
1. People who are just really immature and are still functionally a young adult. Don't use tik-tok much, but on Instagram, which is a somewhat similar format, I sometimes see reels of a 50 year old ranting about politics as if they're 20 or something. I think sometimes, this is strategic because their older age gives them a level of credibility but because they act like a young person they connect with them well 2. Older people who may run a business or sell something, particularly if it's targeted towards a younger crowd. I know my mom falls into this category; she owns a small ballet business and uses social media like Instagram and Tik-Tok to try and attract customers even though she hates the platforms 3. A wholesome older person posting lighthearted content almost as like a grandmother or grandfather figure online. 4. Typically these people are a bit younger, but I often see a lot of Christian mom types starting these Instagrams and tik-toks about their "perfect" god-loving family 5. Someone who gets roped into it because of (younger) family
