Tucker Carlson attacks Omar:

Rep. Ilhan Omar pushed back on comments made by Fox News host Tucker Carlson calling the freshman congresswoman “living proof that the way we practice immigration has become dangerous to this country.”

In his Tuesday night rant, Carlson also insisted that Omar “hates this country more than ever” and that “virtually every public statement she makes accuses Americans of bigotry and racism.”

“This is an immoral country, she says. She has undisguised contempt for the United States and for its people. That should worry you, and not just because Omar is now a sitting member of Congress,” he told his viewers.

Ilhan Omar responds:

On Tuesday night, Omar tweeted that “it’s kinda fun watching a racist fool like this weeping about my presence in Congress” after Carlson’s segment on Omar ran on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Omar elaborated on her comments Wednesday, telling reporters at a Democratic caucus meeting that she truly believes Tucker is a “racist fool” who is “weeping about the fact that we have an African-born member of Congress, the kind of people that the likes of him think come from sh_thole countries.”

“And the fact that he doesn’t get the opportunity to ban me from this country, and now he gets to call me a congresswoman, I’m sure pisses him off,” Omar added. “But he’ll eventually get used to it. And I think that advertisers should not be underwriting this kind of dangerous, hateful rhetoric.”

Don’t like Tucker at all but he is correct In that  Omar has contempt for this nation . She  has proven time and time again that she is an completely ungrateful person who dislikes the nation who gave her a much better life .

She is a CITIZEN just like you, so she can criticize all she wants. Please take this James Baldwin quote to heart: "I love America more than any other country in this world, and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually." She sounds like a true patriot to me.

Remember she once implied that the US troops committed a terrorist attack in Somalia in 93 .

Did they or didn't they though? You talk about it like America is OBVIOUSLY innocent of any overseas wrongdoings, which is clearly not the case. America has been killing innocent civilians abroad for decades now. Are you just a good little military worshipping Republican puppet, or do you think for yourself occasionally?

That "9/11" thing was PROVEN to be taken out of context of her entire speech she was giving dude. You know this. If you don't you can look up the FULL comments. It's not a matter of opinion.

You're engaging in conformation bias. You've first decided that Omar is guilty, and now secondly you cherry pick some information and downplay other info in order to arrive at that conclusion. This is dangerous thinking and can lead to Flat Earth belief and brainwashing. Rational thought and rational argument are done with the steps in reverse. You examine the evidence FIRST in order to secondly arrive at a conclusion that is actually supported by the evidence.

How can we have a rational debate if you've already decided that the facts are secondary to your narrative?

You claim that Omar is an ungrateful American and that Tucker is a racist but correct in this particular case. What should be done with Omar? Should the Democratic Party eject her from her seat? Should more Republicans confront her directly about this? Should local Republicans protest her in Minnesota when she does public appearances?

There are very, very few Democratic politicians who are actually socialists. Sanders and AOC don't support workers owning the means of production or nationalizing industry.
