Would the Washington lieutenant governor be a good Democratic presidential candidate in 2020? Can he win the nomination?

From what I know, Habib seems an interesting fellow with a good record, but he'd need a higher office to ever run for national one.

I'm a bit surprised no Iranian American was ever elected to a statewide office before him.

I like the guy a lot, but let's see how he does as Lieutenant Governor, and perhaps give him the chance to run for Governor or a higher office before talking about him as a presidential candidate.

Unless we're discussing him as 2032 candidate #AtlasForum

A blind Iranian American Lieutenant Governor? I mean, if America's ready, kudos to us. But...

A Catholic, three-time cancer survivor, Iranian-American, blind man? That is an extremely, extremely interesting and unique background to be sure.
