Managed to lose the popular vote but win the electoral vote as Nixon-Goldwater.

Vice President Richard Nixon (R-CA) / Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ): 49.5%; 286 Electoral Votes
Senator John F. Kennedy (D-MA) / Senator Lyndon Johnson (D-TX): 50.5%; 245 Electoral Votes
Senator Harry Bird (I-VA) / Senator Strom Thurmond (I-SC): 0%; 6 Electoral Votes

After a few tries I finally managed to achieve an electoral draw with a Kennedy/Humphrey ticket. While I myself haven't been able to manage it yet, I think it is possible to win, by the skin of your teeth mind you, with Humphrey as your running-mate; had Wisconsin somehow gone my way, there being only a two point difference between me and Nixon there, I would have won outright without any support from the South. Generally though, at least on Hard and above, you would need absolutely everything to go right for you including a clear victory in the debate against Nixon. If you don't manage that then Nixon will almost certainly win the election, having a relatively safe base of support in the South and only needing to carry a handful of the competitive states.

Absolutely hilarious glitch with Nixon/Goldwater on Impossible. I intentionally bombed the campaign, and Nixon ended up winning zero states. The funny thing is, though, Harry Byrd got 6 EVs and literally one popular vote.

It's not a glitch. Byrd automatically gets 6 AL electors.

It's likely just something they put in there to get their code working properly. It comes from the AL-Unpledged section of the results, which is set to always go for Byrd. The reason why he didn't get votes elsewhere is because choosing Goldwater takes Byrd off the ballot for whatever reason.

I intentionally bombed as Kennedy/Johnson on Impossible and apparently still did better than ~72% of players on the same difficulty level.

Afte playing 1960 a few times, it seems Symington is the best choice for running-mate. He just gathers the coalition Kennedy wants.

Has anyone tried a hawkish slightly pro-CR very strongly pro-labor Kennedy with otherwise moderate hero stances? I think it might just work.

Kennedy/Johnson 369 EV, 51.4% PV
Nixon/Lodge 154 EV, 48% PV
Unpledged 14 EV

Thought this was gonna be a loss, but somehow managed to pickup Wisconsin and California to win the election as JFK/HHH. Just go super aggressive with foreign policy and the rest falls into place.

The next ones they should add:

1860
1876
1916
1948
1988
1992

I understand 1992 and 2008 are under consideration.
