This could be the first time Kissinger is back shaping foreign policy in a public role since the Gerald Ford administration:

Well, they are both Nihilists or subscribe to a system of morality that neither I or 65% of the population understand, so it makes sense.

1. How old is Kissinger now? Did he steal Zsa Zsa Gabor and Fidel Castro's immortality?

2. It sure doesn't seem like Trump needs a middleman to reach a deal with Putin.

Are you guys actually hoping for a person's death? I don't care who they are, that's just sick.

Normally I'd agree, and I do like him, but c'mon, he's a walking corpse.

What's with all the awesome people getting shat on this year? Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Lena Dunham, now Henry Kissinger? Our best Secretary of State since George Marshall. Next people will be turning on Pope Francis.

Some of the posts in this thread are pretty sick.

Keep something in mind. Kissinger was the first one to articulate and implement an alternative to the Domino Theory and its inherent view that all Communists were Reds and instead sought to break them down by their self-interests and pit them against each other.

Is that idealistic or moralistic, of course not. But sometimes you have to accept reality for what it is and work within it to protect your interests and citizen's lives.

Yes, it means serving those disadvantaged. Aging and the side effects of it happen to everybody - it's not an abnormal and a sickening struggle. Ain't nothing wrong with dying after years of service. He'll be in a better place soon - the human lifespan is nothing but an eternity of suffering.

Well, in another thread you were whining about the heat of the posts.  I figured wishing someone dead was a hot one too, but you're right.  Nothing new here.  Wink

My head hurts. The guy who helped carpet bomb Cambodia is proposing that Trump accept the annexation of Crimea.

Ah, realpolitik at its finest. No values, just brute national interest and if that means bartering away Crimea for Russian help with ISIS, so be it.

Of course, Putin is a better negotiator than the Donald. I wonder how many concessions we'll be giving to Mother Russia for trinkets in return?

The fact that piece of human garbage is still alive is proof that there's no justice in the world.
