Agreed with all of the above. There's a reason Shapiro was able to win places like Luzerne in 2020 when Biden was losing by double digits.

Polls can be off but usually you don't see a statewide race where the Dem has a double digit lead and is above 50% lose.
FL Gov 2018 /s
But yeah that's all I've got. It looks like at worst for dems, Fetterman and Shapiro squeak by
I think there was a poll with Cunningham at 50 but he wasn't up by double digits, more like hsd

Looks like Shapiro was at the Puerto Rican parade and did other events while Doug Mastriano was on a call with Andrew Torba

TORBA! TORBA! TORBA!

An appropriate thing to yell as Mastriano's campaign is coming close to resembling a kamikaze pilot.

I appreciate Shapiro taking these communities seriously though, so we can try and avoid the inevitable "Democrats aren't doing anything for the Latino vote!" articles again come Sept-Oct. Though Latinos have not shifted rightwards in PA in recent elections as they have in other places.

PA Latinos certainly did. Just look at how Northern Philly and downtown Reading shifted. Infact these Hispanics swifts were quite intense. It just has less of an impact due to the overall population being pretty small in PA.

I should revise - there wasn't a 'massive' shift. Exit poll has Latinos going from 74-22 in 2016 to 69-27 in 2020, which IS a shift, but not as big of one as you'd expect given the narrative. Latinos are still overwhelming Democrat at the state level.

There definitely were areas that you spoke of that shifted moreso, but I also think there was an incumbency advantage for Trump a bit there.

LMAO. You just know that he's scared that the MAGA fans will see clips of him being honest about 1/6 and get upset with him.

Either that, or he's worried Dems/Shapiro will use the clips to hammer him again for being there.

Either way, a lose lose for him.

Day after day, Shapiro is looking more like a Governor who will be ready on day one. He's not allowing himself to get dragged into inflammatory rhetoric like his opponent.

Looks like Shapiro went to the Tyhir Barnes Anti-Gun basketball charity event today before standing out in the 90F heat in Clinton County before an evening event in Clearfield county.

Meanwhile Skinhe-I mean Mastriano bragged about getting Lloyd Smucker's endorsement.

Remember this:
IF Mastriano runs on the economy and Shapiro runs on "muh January 6th", then Mastriano will likely win. It doesn't matter how extreme he is.

Is Mastriano even doing events? Genuinely asking. He doesn't seem to be doing much of anything, and of course, he does not speak to any non-R outlets either.

From the NYT:

Doug Mastriano, the Republican candidate for Pennsylvania governor who played a role in President Donald J. Trump’s false elector scheme, ended his interview with the Jan. 6 House committee today within 15 minutes. Mastriano, who was on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, 2021, insisted on recording the interview himself and then refused to answer the committee’s questions. He pledged to sue the panel.

He's not in any position to be making demands here. Unsurprising though.

Not surprising, he's really aiming hard to become the God Emperor's replacement. Didn't DeSantis also fail to condemn Neo-Nazi rallies in Florida? Trump-critical Republicans that are left really shouldn't fall for his scam.

This basically. Unless Mastriano can moderate a little bit heading into the fall, it's a forgone conclusion.

Rs are nominating the most extreme candidates because females are voting in the R primary for the worse of two evils not men, that's why we have higher R turnout in primaries but D's are leading in all the swing races, D's got clobbered in OH primary and Ryan is leading by the same margin as Brown was leading in 2012 not 2018 on Oct 2012,Brown was leading 46/41 today Ryan is leading 46/41

Election Guy and MT Treasure assume that just because there is higher R turnout it means curtains for D's, but those are females, females voted for Bailey over Sullivan in IL

We lost MN 1 but the Rs underperform Trump and we will win it when Walz is on the ballot in Nov guarenteed

Thankfully I don't think Shapiro is going to take this election lightly at all, even if he knows he is ahead. As long as he continues to run a serious campaign and not complacent he should be able to deliver a win. And that goes for a lot of elections across the country this year against Mastriano types, even if they aren't quite as much of a human dumpster fire as he is.
