XSouth Park Conservative

In addition, I also have an amendment that I would like to propose for signatures:
Free Secession Amendment
Article 1: The right of Midwestern citizens to secede from the region of the Midwest shall not be infringed.
Article 2: The Region of the Midwest shall be free to make resolutions to support this right in other regions.

I believe that the state of New Mexico proudly lies within the Pacific Region and as such we owe no reparations to the state.

You misunderstand. The State of New Mexico is the reparation payment we demand.

I wish to make it known, so as to avoid confusion (not that it technically matters) that I am not signing SPCs. (Nothing personal, my friend Smiley)

That's what I'm here for, to make sure that no one has to sign propositions they don't like in order for them to be voted down Smiley

Just in case "my" (I use it lightly since my original was a crude version of its new self) consitutional amendment fails, I hope to at least pass it here in the Midwest. I made some slight changes, so make sure to read through this version even if youve read the other. (Quite frankly, I like this version more)

Because We're Worth it, Too Act

1. Whenever the Senate of Atlasia passes legislation affecting only non-Regional territories of Atlasia, the Midwest Governor or Lieutenant Governor may designate said legislation for consideration by the Midwest Region.
2. All passed legislation flagged for consideration by the Region shall be placed on a Regional ballot.
3. Any of said legislation which passes a Regional vote shall take effect in the Midwest without amendment and shall be considered Regional law, not subject to future review by the Senate of Atlasia.

In Article 2, Regions should be singular.

Why? Im happy to answer questions, or withdraw if you find a fatal flaw with it, Mr. Governor.

The only problem I have with that is that it doesnt provide an avenue for amending the legislation so that it better suits the circumstances of the region. Other than that, im in favour.

Nevermind, I understand now Smiley

And, on hugh's point, it gives us something to start out with.  If it fails, perhaps we can come up with our own suggestion.

Perhaps, but isnt the fact that I amended federal legislation and placed it on the ballot this easily proof in istelf that such a clause isnt necessary?
