Last couple weeks, yeah. They've been deleted though.

A truly momentous event. Dave stepped down from Mount Olympus to deal with it.

What happened to those trolls was more than simple banning - apparently, their accounts have been deleted as well, meaning not even their post history remains - is this something that only Dave Leip himself can do?

Oh, and my current ignore list (which has expanded considerably since last time):

-krazen1211 - No explanation needed.
-Down the Gurney - Some troll that I found more irritating than amusing.
-BigSkyBob - Aggressive and confrontational in nearly every post of his that I've seen. He doesn't seem to post very often now, though.
-CTRattlesnake - His behavior during the government shutdown is what got him here.
-BeccaM - Hard to explain. I generally find her posts "counter-productive" in a way.
-TX Conservative Dem - Landed on ignore because I find most of his posts to be rather uninformed (such as making predictions abound future elections based entirely on trends).
-backtored - Some right-wing hack that posts only on Colorado election-related threads, who I just found irritating.
-Chris Christie's Stomach (GOP_Represent) - From what little I've seen of him, basically just repeats standard Fox News talking points and nothing else.

So rightwing that I broke the Political Compass! - This guy was alright when I started seeing his posts, but later it became clear he was just a homophobic troll.

heatmaster - I vaguely remember this guy.  Another rude and obnoxious one, I believe.

Wolfentoad - Most people here remember him, but for those who don't, Wolfentoad was this kid who backstabbed people he didn't agree with on the fantasyland game which basically led to a widespread coalition against him.  Basically, he clearly wasn't mature enough to handle the forum and eventually he figured that out himself, hence his departure.

BringinTheTruth wasn't a jmfcst sock. He was just one of those stupid election time trolls that all disappear after the election. Cliffy was one of those too.

Someone I'm surprised to see not mentioned is dirks, probably the absolute worst of the election trolls last year. In addition to being a hack, a delusional idiot, and incapable of understanding polls he was also a virulent misogynist and racist. Quite amusingly his last post is one on election day projecting doom for Obama...and not a single one after that.

My ignore list seems to consist of only three posters, none of them active:

Amusingly I think the only currently active poster I've ever non-accidentally put on ignore is Lief (for about a week in the run up to the 2012 election.) I don't really use ignore much because there's a bunch of posters (pbrower and angus being the two most obvious examples) who I just mentally tune out and skip their posts whenever I see them. Putting them on ignore just draws attention to the "show" button and the post. I've started tuning out krazen as well.

I think I have Keystone Phil on Ignore but still interact with for some reason. His viewpoints on PA politics are worthwhile but outside of that, he's easily our most overrated poster.

Really though, there are people who I have on ignore, and people who I hardly ever read.  Except for the racist/porno trolls, these are not the same people. If there's someone really doesn't ever say much I find interesting, it's easy for me to just scroll down.  It's the people who sometimes make interesting contributions and other times just make incredibly infuriating baseless comments that I have to be cautious about and decide if I want to read them in any given thread.
