Kristi Noem Criticized on Claim of Meeting Kim Jong-Un

I think we can safely say this has not been a good week for Gov. Kristi Noem.

Apparently lost in the furor over her deciding to include a mention of shooting her dog in her memoirs is a soon-to-be-removed claim that Noem had met the "Rocket Man" himself, Kim Jong-Un (never mind that, as a Governor and before that as a Congresswoman, this would be a pretty easy claim to disprove).

This whole situation has been pretty sad to see. Her first autobiography, Not My First Rodeo, was actually a really good book. In it, I learned a lot about her life growing up on the farm and her relationship with her father and how his values influenced her politics. She came across to me in that book as very down-to-earth, sensible, smart, and principled.

I don't know exactly what has happened to Kristi but it seems like something has changed. Her appearance has changed a lot. It looks like she's had some plastic surgery. And then this new book, it seems like she's not even aware of what's in it. Maybe she should take some time and go on a retreat with her family and recenter herself.

Imho, she was always the clear logical choice and any rational advisor of Trump's wouldn't have put her in the same league as Noem. Noem does what Trump does, but of course, she doesn't get a pass the way he does.

Yes, why criticize a politician on the short list for Trump's running mate for making a completely false claim about meeting an important world leader and being unable to even straightforward acknowledge it wasn't true?
