(D)

Indiana is a fairly non-partisan state, methinks that primary is having its play.

Selzer is a Democratic pollster? I thought she was just an Iowa pollster.

Uh, wow, you're quite right.

I was confusing her with Celinda Lake.

Bad news for the GOP. Looks like they'll have to make up Indiana's 11 electoral votes somewhere else.

Earlier in the year there were polls with the Democrats in the lead. I doubt they can reach out to Indiana voters, but maybe... Indiana has really low turnout for a Northern state, so maybe the Blacks will start to turnout there.

Not likely.  I'm thinking this is simply some statistical noise due to the primary.  Both Clinton and Obama will outperform Kerry here but I'd say the best they could hope for against McCain is 45%.  There is a slim chance they could make it truly competitive if either one of them were to choose Bayh as their running mate.

This just in - a poll just released by the polling firm Baskin - Robbins shows McCain has inched ahead of Obama by three points in Vermont.

Crosstabs to follow.

That's got to be a bad poll.  If were a local poll such as Ben & Jerry, maybe, but Baskin - Robbins just doesn't do Vermont all that well.

So I guess Obama is competitive in Indiana just like the righties tell me that McCain is competitive in Massachusetts?
