The biggest holdouts have been Native American nations - with the Cherokees and the Navajos as the top 2 (300.000 each). How is it going with them?

If I remember correctly, aren't required to obey the ruling, because of tribal sovereignty.  The idea is that indigenous nations are not bound to the U.S. Constitution because they existed before the United States and are rightfully sovereign nations.

Makes sense, but it makes them by far the largest communities without gay marriage in the US. I have seen a figure of one million Native Americans living in nations that do not recognize same sex marriage. The Navajo nation alone dwarfs the remaining redneck holdouts.

After two weeks, we have an update: 17 holdout and 1 unknown. The one Unknown is Knott, Kentucky.

Seriously Alabama. It's been nearly two months now.

Do you have the names of the 17 holdouts?

UPDATED:

Now we are at 14 holdout and 1 unknown. (Knott, Kentucky)

Alabama: Autauga, Bibb, Chambers, Choctaw, Clarke, Cleburne, Covington, Geneva, Marengo, Pike, and Washington

Kentucky: Clinton, and Whitley

Texas: Irion

How can Knott keep being unknown? Nobody pressuring them to give an answer?

Sure, but I was just wondering how a county can keep being "undecided" or undeclared on something like this.
