Well, he is over 10%, so this is hypothetical.
The big issue I know of: the major parties go on the top slots on the ballot, followed by the other candidates in a random order. Had he fell below 10%, causing the Colorado Republicans to become (legally) a minor party, the Republican candidate could be anywhere on the list for the next four years, not in the top two as usual.
I think it would've been more symbolic than anything, though there probably are other legal effects I don't know of.
