Anyone else think they should ditch the rose for something not so... Cold War era?

Well, it was only adopted in around 1987(?). Although of course it's an old emblem for continental European social democratic parties, if that's what you mean..

That's what I meant. It's not as if earlier Labour logos were better, but that was also before graphics could be designed on a computer.

Exactly; the stem is too long. They need to have simply a stylised red rose like PvDA.



Did you notice that there is a stylized fist in the centre?

I've always liked some of the European socialist logos (like the PSOE) - a big chunky flower in a clenched fist.



French Parti Socialiste:
