Perhaps this might be a hot take, but I don't think anyone should ever be stripped of committee assignments, under any circumstances.

It is literally their job as Congressmen to serve in committees. If Congress doesn't want them doing their job, then expel them. But if not, they should get to serve in commitees.

Why should GA-14's duly elected representative be treated any different from the other 434 congressmen? She may be crazy and stupid, but it's who the people of GA-14 chose to represent them in Congress.

Woodrow Wilson said that Congress in committee is at Congress at work, and Congress in session is Congress on exhibition. Marjorie Taylor Greene is a pure exhibitionist.

Then she should fit right in.

So Newman intentionally tries to trigger MTG by placing a flag outside her office and then cries when MTG responds?

Newman's daughter is trans, so she put a flag outside her office in a motion of solidarity to Americans that aren't cis. She mentioned MTG in the tweet mostly as a stab at her wackjob views, although that's not the main reason why the flag was put up.

MTG put a sign outside her office just to be a bigoted asswipe to her colleague.

You're comparing apples and oranges, friend.

Maybe that is not the main reason the flag was put up, but that is the reason she gave on twitter for why the flag was put up.   Newman wanted to troll MTG in order to get attention, and it worked.
