Talking Points Memo

TPM's title is slightly misleading because Reid never said it was 'doomed,' but I think this is an indication of how things are right now.

It makes total sense for the Senate to focus only on passing bills that the GOP House will support.  Which leaves absolutely nothing - not one thing - on the Democratic agenda.  Democrats should really wait it out until they can retake the House and be able to get anything done.

Meanwhile, let the House pass as many Obamacare repeals and tax cuts for billionaires as they like.  At least it keeps them occupied.

^There's a catch 22 though, if the Democrats do try to pass it the GOP will probably oppose all of it, but if Dems try to "wait it out" for a congressional majority, the GOP would hang us for not taking action. You know they will

This is like predicting that the Earth will complete its revolution around the sun in about 351 more days.

It's funny. It seems that even after all this time, the Congressional Democrats still have no grasp of political strategy. Well, that's their problem.

Only if you agree that the revolution began on 1 January.

Tongue One could argue that the Earth completes a revolution every hour, or every minute, too.

Let's hope so.

Who wants such qualities in their legislature? Boring!
