What's most hilarious is the basis of AuH2O's argument is that basically Germany has banned Neo-Nazi organizations. Because we all know that in apartheid South Africa political activity was never banned or anything.

Most ancestors of the Afrikaner came to Africa in the 17th century which is before most Americans' ancestors came here. So they're not indigenous, but they're definately African, otherwise I'm not American (most of my ancestors didn't come to the US until almost the 20th century or right at the turn)

I believe BRTD is referring to the fact that the Africans were slaves of the whites.

What does that have to do with it?  He was born to white imperialists who were there as overseers of the slaves.

The Afrikaners didn't come there originally as that though. They actually got along very well with the blacks for quite some time and were allies when they battled the British imperialism.

Like I pointed out though, the Afrikaners really have more of a claim to being African than most Americans (by that I mean basically anyone in the Western Hemisphere) have to being North or South American. Almost every person in the Western Hemisphere of European ancestry's ancestors came here after the Afrikaners originally came to Africa.
