Hillary may not be inevitable, but Trump is not going to win this thing with his serious unpopularity with females, who make up most of the voting public. And what ethnic group has he not trashed?
I think this election is boiling down to male vs female. And the males and male supporters are scared that Hillary just might win, so they are pulling out all the ugly stops.
Too bad that the GOP couldn't come up with someone who was more acceptable to the general voter than Trump. So while Hillary may not be inevitable, Trump is a hideous alternative to her. Good luck with that.
