The GOP-e has to come to terms with the fact that its current base isn't going to show up for low turnout specials, primaries, and off-year elections. The voter suppression scams of 2010/2014 won't work -- they need to target higher turnout elections.

This was a very high turnout election.
For one side. The GOP's game in the past was to try and prevent voters from showing up to polls. VBM is the great equalizer. If republicans can't get WWC and rural voters to turn out on election day, they can't win any close races.

Also, they need to stop running on abortion. It's a major loser.

That’s all, folks!

Scott Walker Legacy now  will be erased . Stupid stupid Trumpists for not voting for the other Republican who could have had a better chance of winning this race and preserving this great legacy
When is the next election conservatives have a chance to retake it?

2025
Well, that's rough.

Good luck to the current Rust Belt state GOP coalition in an odd year spring election!

I want the Bush coalition back . The coalition where we didn’t need to win WI/MI/PA to get to 270 .

Name a more Republican thing than finding a way to ignore voters once they vote against you.

Has Dane ever gone 80+% for one candidate in a race before? It didn't for Evers in '22.

And I want Republicans to be less insane in their beliefs.

You'd have to go back to before the W. Bush coalition for that. At that time, they were dominated by the (pseudo) Religious Right.

Yup, that GOP is never coming back, that's why I'm more then willing to have them be consistently squashed and defeated.

The country is less white than it was in 2000/2004. Bush loses both of those elections with the same crosstabs by demographic.

Wisconsin is blue now. the GOP can kiss that one goodbye for 2024 and thus the election. It's in the bag for Biden. Might as well nominate Trump now and get another L over with.

Or maybe encourage their voters to use VBM as well, rather than telling their own base to not vote early. In places like GA their efforts just ended up "supressing" their own base more than Ds

Kelly lost it 81.4-18.6 in the 2020 Supreme Court race.

Every race in a semi-close state in which abortion is perceived to be on a ballot is a near-guaranteed loss for republicans.

I'm in favor of Dan Kelly being a non-carpetbag version of Scott Brown. All female WISC by 2030. Keep running Dan!

I wonder when Democrats will finally flip Ozaukee county. Every election it narrows. Once WOW is broken the Wisconsin Republican Party is OVER.

All this proves is that America is a fundamentally socially liberal country. The sooner Republicans like Del Taco and ER realize that the majority of Americans think that gay people are people and child rape victims shouldn't be forced to give birth, the sooner they might start winning.

I don't trust VBM worth a damn, but if I was running the party I would definitely push to have ballots sent out automatically.

Realistically, they need to maximize election day turnout foremost.

Abortion is a net vote winner for Ds. And yeah, the existence of a law passed by the Wisconsin legislature in 1849 is now costing Rs hundreds of years later.
Well, reality is what it is. Rs will have to try to change it.

In SD-8, village of Richfield in Washington County (population 12,000, approx 75-25 Trump) still hasn’t reported any votes. This will probably mean Jodi will lose the lead; that being said, she does have two wards in Ozaukee that could net her ~200 votes yet.

Buckle up.

Wikler will go down as one of the greatest state party chairs in the post-Jim Crow era - what he has built in this state is something to behold.
