People who only care about preserving the status quo and see their sense of security and predictability threatened whenever the White House switches parties.

But how about if they support Trump for 2024?

A poltiically moderate hawk who hated Covid restrictions.

In 2000 Gore ran on a more hawkish platform than Bush (well it was hard to tell but a case could be made).
Pleased with Iraq/the response to 9/11, they voted for Bush.
Opposing any ideas to withdraw, they voted for McCain.
Pleased with Obama's foreign policy, they voted for Obama.
Like other neocons, they're likely for immigration reform and free trade and were turned off by Trump's nationalism.
While opposed to Trump for most of his presidency, they hated the Covid restrictions more.

They'll likely vote for the GOP nominee in 2024 because of Biden withdrawing from Afghanistan unless Biden decides to invade somewhere else, in which case Biden might gain their vote.
